commit f4821e8e8e957fe4c601a49b9a97b7399d5f7ab1 upstream. Debugging showed Realtek RT5642 doesn't support autoincrementing writes so driver should set the use_single_rw flag for regmap. commit 4adeb0ccf86a5af1825bbfe290dee9e60a5ab870 upstream. max98090.c doesn't free the threaded interrupt it requests. This causes an oops when doing "cat /proc/interrupts" after snd-soc-max98090.ko is unloaded. Fix this by requesting the interrupt by using devm_request_threaded_irq(). 2014-09-17ASoC: wm8994: Prevent double lock of accdet_lock mutex on wm1811Charles Keepax
commit b38314179c9ccb789e6fe967cff171fa817e8978 upstream. wm1811_micd_stop takes the accdet_lock mutex, and is called from two places, one of which is already holding the accdet_lock. 2014-06-09ASoC: wm8962: Update register CLASS_D_CONTROL_1 to be non-volatileCharles Keepax
commit 44330ab516c15dda8a1e660eeaf0003f84e43e3f upstream. The register CLASS_D_CONTROL_1 is marked as volatile because it contains a bit, DAC_MUTE, which is also mirrored in the ADC_DAC_CONTROL_1 register. This causes problems for the "Speaker Switch" control, which will report an error if the CODEC is suspended because it relies on a volatile register. To resolve this issue mark CLASS_D_CONTROL_1 as non-volatile and manually keep the register cache in sync by updating both bits when changing the mute status. 2014-05-15ASoC: dapm: Fix widget double free with auto-disable DAPM kcontrolJarkko Nikula
commit 2697e4fb9209dfe1d1b24c92d254158f63d4bc8e upstream. Commit 9e1fda4ae158 ("ASoC: dapm: Implement mixer input auto-disable") is trying to free the widget it allocated by snd_soc_dapm_new_control() call in dapm_kcontrol_data_alloc() by adding kfree(data->widget) to dapm_kcontrol_free(). This is causing a widget double free with auto-disabled DAPM kcontrols in sound card unregistration because widgets are already freed before dapm_kcontrol_free() is called. Reason for that is all widgets are added into dapm->card->widgets list in snd_soc_dapm_new_control() and freed in dapm_free_widgets() during execution of snd_soc_dapm_free(). Now snd_soc_dapm_free() calls for different DAPM contexts happens before snd_card_free() call from where the call chain to dapm_kcontrol_free() begins: soc_cleanup_card_resources() soc_remove_dai_links() soc_remove_link_dais() snd_soc_dapm_free(&cpu_dai->dapm) soc_remove_link_components() soc_remove_platform() snd_soc_dapm_free(&platform->dapm) soc_remove_codec() snd_soc_dapm_free(&codec->dapm) snd_soc_dapm_free(&card->dapm) snd_card_free() snd_card_do_free() snd_device_free_all() snd_device_free() snd_ctl_dev_free() snd_ctl_remove() snd_ctl_free_one() dapm_kcontrol_free() This wasn't making harm with ordinary DAPM kcontrols since data->widget is NULL for them. 2014-03-05ASoC: da732x: Mark DC offset control registers volatileMark Brown
commit 75306820248e26d15d84acf4e297b9fb27dd3bb2 upstream. The driver reads from the DC offset control registers during callibration but since the registers are marked as volatile and there is a register cache the values will not be read from the hardware after the first reading rendering the callibration ineffective. It appears that the driver was originally written for the ASoC level register I/O code but converted to regmap prior to merge and this issue was missed during the conversion as the framework level volatile register functionality was not being used. commit 07b0e5b10258b48e5edfb6c8ac156f05510eb775 upstream. Currently the I2C device Ids conflict for the MFD and CODEC so cannot be both instantiated on one platform. 2013-12-04ASoC: fsl: imx-pcm-fiq: omit fiq counter to avoid harm in unbalanced situationsOskar Schirmer
commit fc7dc61d9a87011aaf8a6eb3144ebf9552adf5d2 upstream. Unbalanced calls to snd_imx_pcm_trigger() may result in endless FIQ activity and thus provoke eternal sound. While on the first glance, the switch statement looks pretty symmetric, the SUSPEND/RESUME pair is not: the suspend case comes along snd_pcm_suspend_all(), which for fsl/imx-pcm-fiq is called only at snd_soc_suspend(), but the resume case originates straight from the SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_RESUME. This way userland may provoke an unbalanced resume, which might cause the fiq_enable counter to increase and never return to zero again, so eventually imx_pcm_fiq is never disabled. Simply removing the fiq_enable will solve the problem, as long as one never goes play and capture game simultaneously, but beware trying both at once, the early TRIGGER_STOP will cut off the other activity prematurely. So now playing and capturing is scrutinized separately, instead of by counting. 2013-12-04ASoC: wm8962: Turn on regcache_cache_only before disabling regulatorNicolin Chen
commit 50bfcf2df2fadf77e143d6099150e6fa7ef4d78c upstream. It's safer to turn on regcache_cache_only before disabling regulator since the driver will turn off the regcache_cache_only after enabling regulator. If we remain cache_only false, some command like 'amixer cset' would get failure if being run before wm8962_resume().
