2022-06-02i2c: qcom-cci: simplify access to bus data structureVladimir Zapolskiy
Trivial non-functional change, which adds an alias to an extensively used data location. Signed-off-by: Vladimir Zapolskiy <vladimir.zapolskiy@linaro.org>
2022-06-02i2c: qcom-cci: Fix ordering of pm_runtime_xx and i2c_add_adapterBryan O'Donoghue
When we compile-in the CCI along with the imx412 driver and run on the RB5 we see that i2c_add_adapter() causes the probe of the imx412 driver to happen. This probe tries to perform an i2c xfer() and the xfer() in i2c-qcom-cci.c fails on pm_runtime_get() because the i2c-qcom-cci.c::probe() function has not completed to pm_runtime_enable(dev). Fix this sequence by ensuring pm_runtime_xxx() calls happen prior to adding the i2c adapter. 2022-05-25drm/msm/dpu: Issue MDSS reset during initializationBjorn Andersson
It's typical for the bootloader to bring up the display for showing a boot splash or efi framebuffer. But in some cases the kernel driver ends up only partially configuring (in particular) the DPU, which might result in e.g. that two different data paths attempts to push data to the interface - with resulting graphical artifacts. Naturally the end goal would be to inherit the bootloader's configuration and provide the user with a glitch free handover from the boot configuration to a running DPU. But as implementing seamless transition from the bootloader configuration to the running OS will be a considerable effort, start by simply resetting the entire MDSS to its power-on state, to avoid the partial configuration. 2022-05-25drm/msm/disp/dpu1: set mdp clk to the maximum frequency in opp table during ↵Vinod Polimera
probe Set mdp clock to max clock rate during probe/bind sequence from the opp table so that rails are not at undetermined state. Since we do not know what will be the rate set in boot loader, it would be ideal to vote at max frequency. There could be a firmware display programmed in bootloader and we want to transition it to kernel without underflowing. The clock will be scaled down later when framework sends an update. 2022-05-25drm/msm/dsi: add support for DSI-PHY on SM8350 and SM8450Dmitry Baryshkov
SM8350 and SM8450 use 5nm DSI PHYs, which share register definitions with 7nm DSI PHYs. Rather than duplicating the driver, handle 5nm variants inside the common 5+7nm driver. Co-developed-by: Robert Foss <robert.foss@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Baryshkov <dmitry.baryshkov@linaro.org>
2022-05-25clk: qcom: rcg2: Cache rate changes for parked RCGsBjorn Andersson
As GDSCs are turned on and off some associated clocks are momentarily enabled for house keeping purposes. Failure to enable these clocks seems to have been silently ignored in the past, but starting in SM8350 this failure will prevent the GDSC to turn on. At least on SM8350 this operation will enable the RCG per the configuration in CFG_REG. This means that the current model where the current configuration is written back to CF_REG immediately after parking the RCG doesn't work. Instead, keep track of the currently requested rate of the clock and upon enabling the clock reapply the configuration per the saved rate. 2022-05-23soc: qcom: rpmh-rsc: Write CONTROL_TCS with next timer wakeupMaulik Shah
The next wakeup timer value needs to be set in always on domain timer as the arch timer interrupt can not wakeup the SoC if after the deepest CPUidle states the SoC also enters deepest low power state. To wakeup the SoC in such scenarios the earliest wakeup time is set in CONTROL_TCS and the firmware takes care of setting up its own timer in always on domain with next wakeup time. The timer wakes up the RSC and sets resources back to wake state. Signed-off-by: Maulik Shah <quic_mkshah@quicinc.com>

2022-05-23PM: domains: Store the closest hrtimer event of the domain CPUsMaulik Shah
The arch timer can not wake up the Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (QTI) SoCs when the deepest CPUidle modes results in the SoC also to enter the low power mode. RSC is part of CPU subsystem and APSS rsc device is attached to cluster power domain. RSC has to setup next hrtimer wakeup in CONTROL_TCS which can wakeup the SoC from deepest low power states. The CONTROL_TCS does this by writing next wakeup in always on domain timer when the SoC is entering the low power state. Add dev_pm_genpd_get_next_hrtimer() to get the genpd wakeup time. 2022-05-23soc: qcom: rpmh-rsc: Attach RSC to cluster PM domainLina Iyer
RSC is part the CPU subsystem and powers off the CPU domains when all the CPUs and no RPMH transactions are pending from any of the drivers. The RSC needs to flush the 'sleep' and 'wake' votes that are critical for saving power when all the CPUs are in idle. Let's make RSC part of the CPU PM domains, by attaching it to the cluster power domain. Registering for PM domain notifications, RSC driver can be notified that the last CPU is powering down. When the last CPU is powering down the domain, let's flush the 'sleep' and 'wake' votes that are stored in the data buffers into the hardware and also write next wakeup in CONTROL_TCS. 2022-05-22afs: Fix afs_getattr() to refetch file status if callback break occurredDavid Howells
If a callback break occurs (change notification), afs_getattr() needs to issue an FS.FetchStatus RPC operation to update the status of the file being examined by the stat-family of system calls. Fix afs_getattr() to do this if AFS_VNODE_CB_PROMISED has been cleared on a vnode by a callback break. Skip this if AT_STATX_DONT_SYNC is set. This can be tested by appending to a file on one AFS client and then using "stat -L" to examine its length on a machine running kafs. This can also be watched through tracing on the kafs machine. The callback break is seen: kworker/1:1-46 [001] ..... 978.910812: afs_cb_call: c=0000005f YFSCB.CallBack kworker/1:1-46 [001] ...1. 978.910829: afs_cb_break: 100058:23b4c:242d2c2 b=2 s=1 break-cb kworker/1:1-46 [001] ..... 978.911062: afs_call_done: c=0000005f ret=0 ab=0 [0000000082994ead] And then the stat command generated no traffic if unpatched, but with this change a call to fetch the status can be observed: stat-4471 [000] ..... 986.744122: afs_make_fs_call: c=000000ab 100058:023b4c:242d2c2 YFS.FetchStatus stat-4471 [000] ..... 986.745578: afs_call_done: c=000000ab ret=0 ab=0 [0000000087fc8c84] Fixes: 08e0e7c82eea ("[AF_RXRPC]: Make the in-kernel AFS filesystem use AF_RXRPC.")
