2013-05-02Merge tag 'fixes-nc-for-linus' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC non-critical fixes from Olof Johansson: "Here is a collection of fixes (and some intermixed cleanups) that were considered less important and thus not included in the later parts of the 3.9-rc cycle. It's a bit all over the map, contents wise. A series of ux500 fixes and cleanups, a bunch of various fixes for OMAP and tegra, and some for Freescale i.MX and even Qualcomm MSM. Note that there's also a patch on this branch to globally turn off -Wmaybe-uninitialized when building with -Os. It's been posted several times by Arnd and no dissent was raised, but nobody seemed interested to pick it up. So here it is, as the topmost patch." * tag 'fixes-nc-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (70 commits) Turn off -Wmaybe-uninitialized when building with -Os ARM: orion5x: include linux/cpu.h ARM: tegra: call cpu_do_idle from C code ARM: u300: fix ages old copy/paste bug ARM: OMAP2+: add dependencies on ARCH_MULTI_V6/V7 ARM: tegra: solve adr range issue with THUMB2_KERNEL enabled ARM: tegra: fix relocation truncated error when THUMB2_KERNEL enabled ARM: tegra: fix build error when THUMB2_KERNEL enabled ARM: msm: Fix uncompess.h tx underrun check ARM: vexpress: Remove A9 PMU compatible values for non-A9 platforms ARM: cpuimx27 and mbimx27: prepend CONFIG_ to Kconfig macro ARM: OMAP2+: fix typo "CONFIG_BRIDGE_DVFS" ARM: OMAP1: remove "config MACH_OMAP_HTCWIZARD" ARM: mach-imx: mach-imx6q: Fix sparse warnings ARM: mach-imx: src: Include "common.h ARM: mach-imx: gpc: Include "common.h" ARM: mach-imx: avic: Staticize *avic_base ARM: mach-imx: tzic: Staticize *tzic_base ARM: mach-imx: clk: Include "clk.h" ARM: mach-imx: clk-busy: Staticize clk_busy_mux_ops ...

2013-03-27ARM: ux500: Apply the TCPM and TCDM locations and sizes to dbx5x0 DTLee Jones
This fixes a regression introduced by commit: 05ec260 mfd:db8500-prcmu: update resource passing All DBx5x0 based SoCs have access to two Tightly Coupled Memory (TCM) locations based on the PRCMU itself. One area from program memory (TCPM) and one for data memory (TCDM). The PRCMU needs to know where these are in order to function correctly. However, these are currently passed though platform device resources, which can only be obtained if Device Tree booting isn't in use. Thus we must also support them in DT by supplying them through the PRCMU node. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-03-12mfd: ab8500: Kill "reg" property from bindingArnd Bergmann
The ab8500 device is a child of the prcmu device, which is a memory mapped bus device, whose children are addressable using physical memory addresses, not using mailboxes, so a mailbox number in the ab8500 node cannot be parsed by DT. Nothing uses this number, since it was only introduced as part of the failed attempt to clean up prcmu mailbox handling, and we can simply remove it. 2013-03-01ARM: ux500: Setup correct settling time for the MMCI regulatorLee Jones
The GPIO controlled MMCI regulator used on the ux5x0 boards takes 100us to settle. There's already a binding to provide such information. Let's make use of it. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-03-01ARM: ux500: Specify the ux5x0 MMCI regulator's on/off GPIO as high-enableLee Jones
If not specified, the GPIO control bit is inverted by default i.e. low-enable and high-disable. This is not the case with the MMCI regulator, hence it will turn on during a disable and off when regulator_enable() is invoked. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-03-01ARM: ux500: Set correct MMCI regulator voltages in the ux5x0 Device TreeLee Jones
Correct the voltage specified by the mmci regulator node in Device Tree. Despite the MMC subsystem insisting on v3.3, we actually only offer v2.9, and not v2.6 which must have actually been a typo. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-03-01ARM: ux500: Include the PRCMU's Secure Registers in DB8500's DTLee Jones
Currently we only include the PRCMU's primary registers when referencing the register count in the 'reg' property. This patch expands that count to include the secure registers also. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-01-30ARM: ux500: correct typo in pinctrl Device Tree nodeLee Jones

2013-01-18ARM: ux500: Provide a link from AB8500 Pinctrl to the PRCMULee Jones
The AB8500 Pinctrl driver uses PRCMU register addresses to control Pinctrl related functions. For this to happen, the Pinctrl driver needs the PRCMU base to work from. We can do that using standard Open Firmware (of_*) function calls, but first we need a mechanism to gain access to the PRCMU device node. We're going to use a Phandle in this case. Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> [Added reg-names="prcmu"; to the prcmu DT node] Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2012-12-26ARM: ux500: add pinctrl address resourcesFabio Baltieri
Current nmk_pinctrl driver is not PRCMU dependent anymore, so it needs its own DT address resources to work properly, as done for platform_device in: f482833 ARM: ux500: add PRCM register base for pinctrl Signed-off-by: Fabio Baltieri <fabio.baltieri@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>

2012-12-13Merge tag 'dt' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-socLinus Torvalds
Pull ARM SoC device tree conversions and enablement from Olof Johansson: "Continued device tree conversion and enablement across a number of platforms; Kirkwood, tegra, i.MX, Exynos, zynq and a couple of other smaller series as well. ux500 has seen continued conversion for platforms. Several platforms have seen pinctrl-via-devicetree conversions for simpler multiplatform. Tegra is adding data for new devices/drivers, and Exynos has a bunch of new bindings and devices added as well. So, pretty much the same progression in the right direction as the last few releases." 2012-11-27ARM: ux500: Move board specific GPIO info out to subordinate DTS filesLee Jones
GPIO numbers for the newly created gpio-regulator will differ from board to board. Therefore it's not sensible to leave this information in the top level DTSI file. Let's move them out to the DTS files where they can correctly vary. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-11-27ARM: ux500: Disable the MMCI gpio-regulator by defaultLee Jones
Not all supported boards will require a MMCI gpio-regulator, therefore it's a good idea to only enable the node when and if it is required. Let's disable it by default. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

2012-11-01ARM: ux500: Add node for the MMC GPIO regulatorLee Jones
There is a very simple mechanism to change and SDI's voltage which consists of toggling some GPIOs. This scenario can be better handled if we convert it to a GPIO regulator. This patch provides one which can be read from Device Tree. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-11-01ARM: ux500: Elaborate on SDI device node names in Device TreeLee Jones
In the DB8500 Reference Manual SDI devices are described as being part of peripheral blocks. This is more in line with how these devices are actually represented in hardware, so here we detail which peripheral block each of the SDI devices belong in the node name. Requested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-11-01ARM: ux500: Move regulator-name properties out to board DTS filesLee Jones
Regulator supply names should be allocated by board rather than per SoC, as the same SoC could be wired differently on varying hardware. Here we push all regulator-name allocation out to the dbx5x0 subordinate board files; HREF and Snowball. Requested-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-10-25ARM: ux500: Correct SDI5 address and add some format changesLee Jones
Here we fix a simple copy and paste error and bring some node spaces back into line with the remainder of the tree. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-10-25ARM: ux500: Specify AMBA Primecell IDs for Nomadik I2C in DTLee Jones
Now the Nomadik I2C driver has been converted to an AMBA one, we are required to provide the Primecell IDs via platform code. When booting with DT enabled these have to be specified in the device nodes. We do that here. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Fix SSP register address formatLee Jones
SSP won't probe unless the specified register address format is correct i.e. we have to specify that the address is in hex. After this patch has been applied, the SSP (SPI) driver probes as expected. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Add nodes for the MSP into Device TreeLee Jones
This patch inserts all known MSP devices into the DBx5x0 Device Tree disabled and enables the two important ones for the Snowball low-cost development board. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Add AB8500 CODEC node to DB8500 Device TreeLee Jones
Ensure correct probing and pass though important configuration options to the AB8500 CODEC driver when DT is enabled Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Add i2c configurations to the Device Tree for DB8500 based devicesLee Jones
Since initial support was provided for the Nomadik I2C driver, it has been converted to an AMBA device. AMBA devices are probed in a slightly different way to other devices, so we have to identify them using an "arm, primecell" compatible string. As well as doing just that, this patch specifies which regulators the controller should use and requests a clock-speed. The latter is provided as more of an example, as it's the same as the recently changed default configuration. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Match Power-On-Key MFD and DTS compatible stringsLee Jones
The compatible string found in the Power-On-Key's MFD cell matches the device name provided in the driver. Keeping this naming convention seems like a good idea, so we're changing the one found in the DTS file to match. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Force AB8500 to use the GIC as its interrupt controllerLee Jones
It's understood that the AB8500 should be subordinate to the DB8500; however, the AB8500 uses the GIC as it's interrupt controller. If we do not specify which IRQ controller to use the default is to use the next encountered IRQ controller as we climb the tree. This would be the DB8500. This patch ensures the AB8500 makes use of the correct interrupt controller. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2012-09-20ARM: ux500: Identify the PRCMU as an interrupt controllerLee Jones
We're just about to provide the DB8500-PRCMU with its own IRQ domain, so that its subordinate drivers can use it as an interrupt controller. It's obligatory for all IRQ controllers to reference themselves as such from its own node in Device Tree. This patch does just that. Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
