2011-10-24MIPS: Alchemy: remove all CONFIG_SOC_AU1??? definesManuel Lauss
Now that no driver any longer depends on the CONFIG_SOC_AU1??? symbols, it's time to get rid of them: Move some of the platform devices to the boards which can use them, Rename a few (unused) constants in the header, Replace them with MIPS_ALCHEMY in the various Kconfig files. Finally delete them altogether from the Alchemy Kconfig file. 2011-10-24NET: au1000_eth: Pass MACDMA address through platform resource info.Manuel Lauss
This patch removes the last hardcoded base address from the au1000_eth driver. The base address of the MACDMA unit was derived from the platform device id; if someone registered the MACs in inverse order both would not work. 2011-05-19MIPS: Alchemy: Clean up GPIO registers and accessorsManuel Lauss
remove au_readl/au_writel, remove the predefined GPIO1/2 KSEG1 register addresses and fix the fallout in all boards and drivers. This also fixes a bug in the mtx-1_wdt driver which was introduced by commit 6ea8115bb6f359df4f45152f2b40e1d4d1891392 ("Convert mtx1 wdt to be a platform device and use generic GPIO API") before this patch mtx-1_wdt only modified GPIO215, the patch then used the gpio resource information as bit index into the GPIO2 register but the conversion to the GPIO API didn't realize that. With this patch the drivers original behaviour is restored and GPIO15 is left alone. 2011-03-14MIPS: Alchemy: Fix reset for MTX-1 and XXS1500Florian Fainelli
Since commit 32fd6901 (MIPS: Alchemy: get rid of common/reset.c) Alchemy-based boards use their own reset function. For MTX-1 and XXS1500, the reset function pokes at the BCSR.SYSTEM_RESET register, but this does not work. According to Bruno Randolf, this was not tested when written. Previously, the generic au1000_restart() routine called the board specific reset function, which for MTX-1 and XXS1500 did not work, but finally made a jump to the reset vector, which really triggers a system restart. Fix reboot for both targets by jumping to the reset vector. When au1000_eth probes the MII bus for PHY address, if we do not set au1000_eth platform data's phy_search_highest_address, the MII probing logic will exit early and will assume a valid PHY is found at address 0. For MTX-1, the PHY is at address 31, and without this patch, the link detection/speed/duplex would not work correctly. Add missing #inclusions of <linux/irq.h> to a whole bunch of files that should really include it. Note that this can replace #inclusions of <asm/irq.h>. This is required for the patch to sort out irqflags handling function naming to compile on MIPS. This patch fixes up the au1x audio platform after the multi-component merge: - compile fixes and updates to get DB1200 platform audio working again, - removal of global variables in AC97/I2S/DMA(PCM) modules. The AC97 part is limited to one instance only for now due to issues with getting at driver data in the soc_ac97_ops.
