2014-06-18mailbox: Remove const from client argument of mbox_request_channel()Mark Brown
The struct mbox_client supplied to mbox_request_channel() is const but it is stored in the channel in a non-constant member causing compiler warnings. While the mailbox API should treat the struct mailbox_client as const itself the struct is passed back to the channel in callbacks without a const so we need to either remove the const, change the callbacks to take const or cast the const away when doing callbacks. Take the simplest option and just remove the const. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2014-06-18mailbox: Fix deleteing poll timerLeyFoon Tan

2014-06-18mailbox: Introduce framework for mailboxJassi Brar
Introduce common framework for client/protocol drivers and controller drivers of Inter-Processor-Communication (IPC). Client driver developers should have a look at include/linux/mailbox_client.h to understand the part of the API exposed to client drivers. Similarly controller driver developers should have a look at include/linux/mailbox_controller.h Signed-off-by: Jassi Brar <jaswinder.singh@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2014-06-18mailbox: rename pl320-ipc specific mailbox.hSuman Anna
The patch 30058677 "ARM / highbank: add support for pl320 IPC" added a pl320 IPC specific header file as a generic mailbox.h. This file has been renamed appropriately to allow the introduction of the generic mailbox API framework. Acked-by: Mark Langsdorf <mark.langsdorf@calxeda.com> Cc: Rafael J. 2014-01-23drivers/mailbox/omap: make mbox->irq signed for error handlingDan Carpenter
There is a bug in omap2_mbox_probe() where we try do: mbox->irq = platform_get_irq(pdev, info->irq_id); if (mbox->irq < 0) { The problem is that mbox->irq is unsigned so the error handling doesn't work. I've changed it to a signed integer. 2013-09-18mailbox: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Acked-by: Suman Anna <s-anna@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
2013-06-11mailbox/omap: move the OMAP mailbox framework to driversSuman Anna
The mailbox hardware (in OMAP) uses a queued mailbox interrupt mechanism that provides a communication channel between processors through a set of registers and their associated interrupt signals by sending and receiving messages. The OMAP mailbox framework/driver code is moved to be under drivers/mailbox, in preparation for adapting to a common mailbox driver framework. This allows the build for OMAP mailbox to be enabled (it was disabled during the multi-platform support). As part of the migration from plat and mach code: - Kconfig symbols have been renamed to build OMAP1 or OMAP2+ drivers. - mailbox.h under plat-omap/plat/include has been split into a public and private header files. The public header has only the API related functions and types. - The module name mailbox.ko from plat-omap is changed to omap-mailbox.ko - The module name mailbox_mach.ko from mach-omapX is changed as mailbox_omap1.ko for OMAP1 mailbox_omap2.ko for OMAP2+ Cc: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> [gregkh@linuxfoundation.org: ack for staging part] Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Omar Ramirez Luna <omar.ramirez@copitl.com> Signed-off-by: Suman Anna <s-anna@ti.com>
