2013-06-11mailbox/omap: move the OMAP mailbox framework to driversSuman Anna
The mailbox hardware (in OMAP) uses a queued mailbox interrupt mechanism that provides a communication channel between processors through a set of registers and their associated interrupt signals by sending and receiving messages. The OMAP mailbox framework/driver code is moved to be under drivers/mailbox, in preparation for adapting to a common mailbox driver framework. This allows the build for OMAP mailbox to be enabled (it was disabled during the multi-platform support). As part of the migration from plat and mach code: - Kconfig symbols have been renamed to build OMAP1 or OMAP2+ drivers. - mailbox.h under plat-omap/plat/include has been split into a public and private header files. The public header has only the API related functions and types. - The module name mailbox.ko from plat-omap is changed to omap-mailbox.ko - The module name mailbox_mach.ko from mach-omapX is changed as mailbox_omap1.ko for OMAP1 mailbox_omap2.ko for OMAP2+ Cc: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> [gregkh@linuxfoundation.org: ack for staging part] Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Omar Ramirez Luna <omar.ramirez@copitl.com> Signed-off-by: Suman Anna <s-anna@ti.com>
2013-01-17staging: tidspbridge: remove unused code to handle iva_imgOmar Ramirez Luna
There is no way to specify the value of iva_img and since this code is not being used, remove it. This analysis resulted from a report by Chen Gang <gang.chen@asianux.com>, mentioning that the existing code was wrongly specifying the size to be copied. 2012-10-24staging: tidspbridge: request the right irq for mmuOmar Ramirez Luna
Requested irq for mmu is currently conflicting with a DMA irq due to recent changes to irq header files, now the offset for the start of the interrupt controller numbering has changed. This should be removed during a future migration to omap-iommu, for now it is hardcoded. 2012-02-24staging: tidspbridge: always compile dsp wdt codeOmar Ramirez Luna
In order to detect it at runtime, we need the code handling wdt clock available at runtime to decide whether to enable or disable based on the baseimage symbols. Default timeout has been set to 5 seconds. Downside is that we will lose the option to set a custom timeout for overflow, but than can be added (if needed) as part of debugfs. 2012-02-09staging: tidspbridge: remove CONFIG_TIDSPBRIDGE_DEBUGVíctor Manuel Jáquez Leal
Since all the asserts and DBC macros are gone, the kconfig macro CONFIG_TIDSPBRIDGE_DEBUG is not almost used, but for printing trace messages. Since it is almost not used, I don't see any case for keep it churning the configuration menu. This patch removes completely the kconfig macro CONFIG_TIDSPBRIDGE_DEBUG, using only TIDSPBRIDGE_BACKTRACE for enabling the debug trace messages. 2012-02-09staging: tidspbridge: remove DBC_ASSERT macroVíctor Manuel Jáquez Leal
This macro is only valid when CONFIG_TIDSPBRDIGE_DEBUG is enabled and it only prints a log message, it is not a real assertion mechanism like BUG_ON() or WARN_ON(). It is better to remove them: less code to maintain. Signed-off-by: Víctor Manuel Jáquez Leal <vjaquez@igalia.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-02-09staging: tidspbridge: remove DBC_ENSURE and DBC_REQUIREDVíctor Manuel Jáquez Leal
The kernel does not use a "Design by Contract" approach, and it is only activated in the module if CONFIG_TIDSPBRDIGE_DEBUG is enabled, so they are executed rarely. It is better to remove them: less code to maintain. Signed-off-by: Víctor Manuel Jáquez Leal <vjaquez@igalia.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
