From 3c97ce1f86851bff81876ec0ced73527d2f08a01 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Gustavo A. R. Silva" Date: Thu, 7 Feb 2019 18:28:17 -0600 Subject: Bluetooth: a2mp: Use struct_size() helper One of the more common cases of allocation size calculations is finding the size of a structure that has a zero-sized array at the end, along with memory for some number of elements for that array. For example: struct foo { int stuff; struct boo entry[]; }; size = sizeof(struct foo) + count * sizeof(struct boo); instance = alloc(size, GFP_KERNEL) Instead of leaving these open-coded and prone to type mistakes, we can now use the new struct_size() helper: size = struct_size(instance, entry, count); instance = alloc(size, GFP_KERNEL) This code was detected with the help of Coccinelle.
